Sawyer's appt

I had another appt with the ped yesterday to discuss Sawyer's episodes. Just as the neuro suggested, he thinks that Sawyer is having a vagal nerve response. He has hard bowel movements that cause pain and witholding which causes more pain which is causing the vagal response. He checked him for fissures or other problems and everything checked out fine. The goal is to get his bms soft enough that Sawyer forgets about pooping and lets nature do it's thing. He switched him to Miralax. I'm to give it to him 2-3 times a day until he is going good, continue with it daily for 2-3 weeks and then try decreasing the dose and see how he does. I'm hoping this does the trick and lessons or eliminates the episodes.
